Pantry staples rarely drop deeply, so a modest cut on a top-selling coffee or snack you buy on repeat is worth more over a year than a huge cut on something you will try once and forget.

How we score grocery

Grocery gets a lower minimum drop than most departments, because staples almost never discount deeply and holding them to the same bar as electronics would leave this page empty for no good reason. Everything else is the usual bar: the price is judged against the product's own last 90 days, it needs at least eight price readings in that window, and it needs 4.1 stars across at least 200 reviews. Our price data cannot see Amazon Fresh, so fresh and chilled groceries never appear here.
