How we damn well score tools
Power tool prices cluster around three annual peaks in promotional activity: spring, Father's Day, and Black Friday. A drop in June is common as damn dirt. The same drop in February is rare and scores accordingly. We also treat kits and bare tools as genuinely separate products, because they are — a discount on a kit including batteries and a charger is not comparable to the same percentage off the bare tool. And we weight rank hard, because the damn gap between a real brand and a lookalike is measured in fingers.
