Video game deals for your damn backlog
Everybody's backlog is already forty games deep, and somehow we all keep buying more. Game pricing is built for that: a new release holds its price for a few weeks, then slides, then gets a "deal" that is really just where it was always going to land. Consoles are the opposite — they barely move for months, so when one genuinely drops it's a damn event. Same department, two completely different kinds of discount, and a strikethrough can't tell them apart.
How we damn well score video games
Every game, console and controller is scored against its own last 90 days of prices, so a title that slid from $69.99 to $39.99 over a quarter and is still sitting there isn't news. Better-selling products qualify at a smaller drop — a modest cut on the controller everyone owns beats a deep one on a third-party pad nobody has reviewed — and everything needs 4.1 stars across at least 200 reviews.

Video game discounts typically cluster around Black Friday and major seasonal sales, and new releases usually fall in price within a few months of launch. Patience is the cheapest damn strategy in gaming.
Why do consoles rarely appear here?
Console prices change infrequently, so a console appears only when its current price is genuinely below its own recent selling price. When one shows up, take the damn hint.
Are third-party controllers worth it?
Low-selling accessories must show a larger price drop to qualify than top-selling ones, and every product needs a rating of at least 4.1 stars from 200 or more reviews. Cheap pads with no track record don't get the benefit of the doubt.
