How we score power and hand tools
Tools are scored against their own last 90 days of prices. A cordless kit and the same bare tool are different listings with different histories, so each is judged only against itself. Better-selling tools qualify at a smaller drop than slow sellers — a modest cut on a drill everyone owns beats a deep one on a brand nobody has heard of. And we only search this shelf above a price floor, which keeps bit sets and single screwdrivers from crowding out the drills.
