Space heater deals, before the damn thermostat argument starts

Part of Home. Deals at $30 and up. Out of season right now. Scanned every day, October through February.

Space heaters are a seasonal purchase with a safety side to them, and this page treats them that way. Demand jumps with the first cold snap, and so do the listings with optimistic list prices. We scan heaters every day through the heating season and show only the ones whose price is genuinely below where they have been selling.

How we score space heaters

Each heater is scored against its own last 90 days of prices and must hold a 4.1-star rating across at least 200 reviews. We search above a small price floor to keep replacement parts out.

A note: our score measures price only. It is not a safety rating. Look for tip-over protection, overheat shutoff and a recognised safety certification on the listing before buying any heater.

Questions

When are space heaters cheapest?

Space heaters are typically cheapest in late winter and spring, after the heating season peaks and demand falls. Early-season drops are rarer, which is exactly when we're watching.

Does a high score mean a heater is safe?

No — the Damn Good Score measures price against the product's own history and does not assess safety features or certifications. Check those yourself, every time.

When do you scan space heaters?

We scan space heaters daily through the heating season and pause during the warmer months. The window is listed at the top of this page.
